Does Hoya make a 40.5mm Close-up Filter? I couldn't find one. 😕

Wanted to do some macro, but it was a regular walk with the kids (too late for serious macro as it was 10am), I just grabbed a Q7+06 zoom+Hoya +4 close up filter, and a A4 paper as diffuser.
Butterflies were too skittish with the heat and I only had like 10mins, so settled for dragonflies instead.

Here are a couple of shots taken with the Q7 and the 06 lens.
Head shot was f2.8, 1/13 second, (hand held) ISO 400, focal length of 42mm, contrast set to soft. Image originally shot in color JPG converted to B&W using Lightroom 5. Downsized for posting purposes.

Hub and axle:

Was shot at f5.6, 1/320 second, ISO 1600, focal length of 35mm, +1 exposure compensation. Image originally shot in color JPG converted to B&W using Lightroom 5. Downsized for posting purposes.

Try a step-up ring from 40.5 > 49 or . . . ?

Tennis practice?

Q7+06 lens, cropped a bit.

Some snaps from Brussels (Belgium)

All with first Q and Pentax 110 18 mm lens. Bold monochrome mode with some further adjustment of shadows and (sometimes) highlights.

To be honest, I'm a long time lurker on this forum. But, last week I couldn't resist the chance to snap up a second hand Pentax Q with the 01 and 06 lens at my local camera store for $150. I think I'm a bit addicted to the 06 lens now!

Before you know it you'll have a bunch of lenses for that Q series, and maybe even an adaptor and some old manual lenses.

If I can join Hekob here... I'm also a pretty long-time lurker, and have owned the Q (Q-S1) for about a couple of months now. I'm no photographer, just enjoy to get out sometimes and maybe shoot some flowers and such (or basically, whatever doesn't move too much and doesn't require way too much patience). Anyway -- this is a bird shot, which was taken on the way to work, completely unexpected. I just happened to have the Q with me with the 06 lens as I was walking by, which was perfect for the occasion. The shot could surely be better, but this is the very first one I got out of a bird that did not look terribly blurry. (OK, the bird was standing, but still!) I almost like it

Used the ultra quiet leaf shutter to good effect here. Subject, a gregarious "oil man" from Germany that had purchased this humongous 4WD adventure rig and planned to going up to Alaska and then down to South America, had no idea I had taken the shot. Neither did my friend (a pro photographer) who was speaking to him.

And the Q was the perfect companion for the short but steep hike up Beehive Trail in Acadia National Park
