I hardly ever use the 06 but fitted it this day to my Q7 when at Camden and Camden market, London. A bit of street art. Like how the light shone over this, especially the textured surface.

My latest story has 2 photos taken with the Q7:

Maine photos in RoadRUNNER Magazine
by John Flores, on Flickr

The one on the left is with the 03 Fish-Eye, the one on the right (full page!) is with the 06 Telephoto Zoom.

As always John, very nice work. Now that the snow is disappearing you are able to get back on the road.

Brought a knife to a gunfight

Took photos of in a meeting room lit with ugly fluorescent tubes. You know, the kind of place where reporters bring their full-frame cameras and fast 2.8 zooms? I brought the Q7 and 06 zoom. Pushed the ISO to 1600 and went for a high contrast Tri-X look:

I'm pleasantly surprised with the results. I'll be bringing the Q7 to similar events.

Went to a local dog show to try out my new dual body setup. Had a Q7 + 06 and a Q7 + 08. So so indoor lighting. I had to shoot in shutter priority mode as the dogs kept moving around a lot. The 06 kept up pretty good only pushing the Q7 to iso 1600, but the 08 was making the Q7 push up to iso 2500. Most of my keepers came from the 06, while the 08 is a good lens, shooting dogs and trying to get the detail of their coats at iso 1600 and above is very difficult. I also shot in jpeg as I needed the burst shot for the dogs. It really felt that I was pushing the Q7 to its limits.

Good stuff Carlo under tough circumstances. I too am surprised that the Q7 holds together at ISO 1600.

This is how he looks at me when he thinks I'm lazy...

This is in fact the second pic with this lens... the first was a dud. Free hand blurryness....

Thanks/Erik

Winter.

Standard 02, bought used.
(a nice investment for its 5mm, despite some CA)

I'd say you pretty much nailed the BW tone - well done.

These photos look insanely good! Not sure what the discussion was, but you can almost cut the tension with a knife!
