Thanks so much! It was a thrill to be able to capture it. I was hoping to get it with it's wings spread out, but no luck.

Low light hi iso concert from live gig. For the Q, I typically max at iso 800. Under artificial lights its not like you get any skin detail as such, so the Q does okay.

Couple take today. I think this is a Yellow Tiger Swallowtail??. Taken with Q, 06 lens.
The 06 continues to impress (when as well used as it is here). Excellent shots, cya

Thanks so much! I was very happy with the results, as I had little time to catch this beautiful creature!

Heinrich, thank you! Curious, the range of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail doesn't show it in the western part of the US.

According to "National Audubon Society Field Guide" their range is East of the Rocky Mountains. My guide book is from 1980, so things could have changed.

I've done more checking, and they are listed as being in Montana, even though most of the maps don't show them this far west. I'm so glad they are here, love seeing them!

Thank you! All the credits go to lens/sensor combination, camera's AWB and Pentax Digital Camera Utility software which is very good for Q images IMHO.

Photos from the my province's Pride Parade.

Been enjoying a dual body setup of 2 Q7s with 08 and 06 attached. It makes for a good outdoor event photography kit.
