I'm in love with this lens.

I don't like how the forum pastes these posts together.

This is a different lens - Q-S1 with Zeika 38mm/1.4 D-mount.

Fly shot were taken while the lens had a C-mount collar epoxied to it, which acted like an extension tube.

Wide open.

Stopped down a tiny bit.

Stopped down more.

Stopped down to f/8 I think.

With C-mount removed, now has normal focus range with D-mount.

Wide open.

Stopped down slightly.

Stopped down and cropped.

I don't think the Zeika 38mm/1.4 will get anymore time on the Q-S1. The Kodak Cine Ektanon 38mm/2.5 covers the focal length and has the built in helicoid for close up work. I'm loving what the Ektanon can do on the Q-S1.

Thanks! The Kodak Cine Ektanon 38mm/1.4 is a pleasure to shoot with and easy to get a sharp focus. The Zeika 38mm is sharp when stopped down, but I don't like it's images and won't be using it any further.

Superb images rmcnelly. The cropped bees are particularly nice. That is a nice lens.

Finding the minimum focus of my 06 lens, I see the value of such a high flash sync speed:

A couple of shots with BORG 55FL (f=250mm), Q7 and a genuine Q-K adapter.

Brewer's blackbird, male by k kwb, on Flickr. Used a tripod. I wanted to focus on the eye, but the focus seems to be on the wing (click on the picture to see larger image).

American Kestrel by k kwb, on Flickr. No tripod but I leaned on the car, putting my elbows on the car's roof.

This one is a stitched pano with 02 lens. 5 minutes before the sand grains started to hit me and Q7.

Sand and thunder storm approaches by k kwb, on Flickr

With 03 lens, bottom of the image cropped off. I was on the passenger's seat.

Back to desert, back to home by k kwb, on Flickr

Excellent closeup Shedking. High speed flash sync is very useful.

Lovely sunsets pinholecam. They have a 3D look to them.

kwb superb images. Particularly like the 02 pano. 02 doesn't always get the love it deserves.

Thanks everyone for sharing.
