Q7+06 zoom.
Turned out that this was really niffy as a 70-200mm equivalent for landscapes since my longest DSLR lens with me was the 43ltd.

Love the image pinholecam. The lighting is wonderful. B&W works well for this subject.

A little scary being so close to the water with Q7, 06, 43 ltd., and other equipment. Be careful.
Thanks for sharing,

Two interiors from the Priory Chapel at St. Michael's Mount, Marazion, Cornwall. Q7 and 01 Prime, available light.

My Q7 gives me the best results I have ever had photographing stained glass. The St. Aubyn family were collectors - this may be 15th Century.

The statue of St.Michael sparing Lucifer (before casting him into Hell) is modern, but the plinth is 4th Century.

Oblig tourist photo

From the Empire State Building. I just put my Q7+08 on the edge of the building from the observatory, my hands sticking out of the fence, and it turned out to be OK.

Pulpit Rock, Portland Bill (Q7 & 06)

The coastline of the island used to extend much further out to sea, but it was quarried away for its limestone. The quarrymen left this pillar to show the original height of the sea cliff and the extent of the quarrying effort- call it vanity or pride, as you wish. This type of monument is known locally as a "knob".

Beautiful, I like your non-working adapter and lens combination, nice one Cipher!

I'd like to share a couple of "adapters don't" shots too. Both of the following were with Vivitar Series 1 VMC 90mm f2.5 macro at f5.6(??) on Q7 and a cheap FD-Q adapter.

And one native lens shot, this is with 06 telephoto zoom.

Nice shots—almost like being in a fairy land.

I have never understood those naysayers ("Adapters don't work!") who have never experimented with the Q. The native Q lenses are excellent, but beyond them is a whole world of quirky lenses out there: macros, telescopes, C and D mount cine lenses, cheap CCTV lenses—all easily usable on the Q (with image stabilization!) via cheap adapters.

I rode a motorcycle over 2500 miles to capture the total eclipse in Idaho. I needed a camera that could handle the job and fit in a backpack along with all my other gear. The Pentax Q with the 55-300 zoom via K-mount adapter won the assignment.
