My original Q with the 01 prime had a problem with its SD card slot so I haven't used it in years. Just picked up a red/gunmetal Q-S1 with the 02 zoom and was walking around with it today.

The 02 is a fun little lens. I totally ignored it with my original Q, that was a mistake. Just ordered an 06 to go with it.

Yup, but I ignored it on the sailboat shot. Looks better with the masts straight up and down IMO.

The pentax F 35-70 macro, a nail for the corpse, some paper to make a long hood for the lens and a comon lamp (pentax Q s1)

Simulating film grain with the Q7

I've found that the Q7 at higher ISOs can simulate film grain pretty well:

Shot with a Omnicon (Cosmicar) 25mm f1.4 wide open at 1600. Click through for maximum size, although Flickr does degrade some of the "crispness" of the grain.

Excellent capture. Great use of the Q. This would be a great entry in Point and Shoot Contest #119 in the Compact Camera forum. The theme is music. Any brand camera is allowed and the small sensor Q is invited.

Cipher, agree with your thoughts on Q high ISO looking similar to film grain. Pentax has always been above average with nice looking grain. Their APS-c also have beautiful grain.
