I had more fun with my 50mm FA Macro lens on my Pentax Q10. The subject was my Spotmatic. The pano's are a series of 6 images, for a total of 45mb or so! The detail is incredible, but doesn't show well on the attachments. I'll need to figure out a better way to add images to this forum. Somehow got locked out of my Flickr or something.

Here's my informal Pentax Q Vlog where I took these shots:
Pentax Q10 with FA * 50mm Macro 100th Anniversary Macro Week - Pentax Q Adventure Vlog - YouTube
These are really nice! I was always curious how the Q series would handle macro/closeup shots so the video was quite informative. Seems like it would be ideal for taking pictures of dioramas, as the smaller size of the camera would make it easier to position without running into the models like I do with my regular camera. Thanks for sharing!

Haha, nice! I did a Flat Stanley series for one of my cousin's kids a while ago, it was a lot of fun! We ended up making a Shutterfly photo book of the pictures that we gave to him to share at school.

This was a project for my co-worker's sister's child. Flat Liam had already traveled quite a ways when we did this. I think he was headed home for good after this. It was fun to help her with it. I wish I could have seen the final album.

If I had brought my K1 with this range of focal lengths, I would have been asked to leave the bag at the door. Q7 with 01 prime, 08 and 06 zooms slipped in unchallenged.

The Gibbs family fortune came from a near monopoly in the trade of guano from Peru. As a music hall song of the time put it "William Gibbs made his dibs, selling the turds of foreign birds"

Nice series!
Bat guano used to be quite popular here for fertilizer - maybe still is - and itís fairly expensive.

Terrific images and story. Amazing how many times a Q can enter where other cameras would be barred. Q is freedom.
Thanks,

Thank you! Out of the three lenses on show, I can't help being drawn to the 08. The IQ is amazing...
