LeRolls, I really like the first post! How did you get the film-look, PP or in camera?

Edit: I got your latest post somehow after I posted mine. I guess Jpeg then?

Thanks man!

I actually worked with the JPEG post process in editing software. The program I use has a lot of filters similar to ones in the camera and I like to layer them to get different effects. I know you can do it in the camera but I prefer to do it on the computer. I'm sure I'll have even more leeway once I start working with the RAW files.

Picture I took of one of my managers on her birthday (yesterday). I pumped up the colors and highlights to go along with heightened mood of the event. I understand if people think it's over-saturated but it just felt appropriate for the situation.

I think it fits too and is not at all over the top. It looks a bit like "Canon pics" that you find on the web. Dunno why Canon pics often looks that way but I guess a different style dominates Canon than Pentax.

Thanks! Would have had more shots of the dog but all she wants to do when we get outside is run around.

I agree with the whole "Canon" look observation and it makes sense since I learned on a Canon Rebel and my brother and I currently share a T3i.

It seems common to hear "Pentax pics looks boring" from Canon shooters and sometimes "Canon is over top" by Pentaxians, funny as it really got nothing to do with the cameras!
I really like your PP styles!

I can see how Canon people might feel that way and vice versa. I personally shoot both and love both. I also have a K-01 on the way which will open up a whole world of old-school/affordable lenses. Definitely looking forward to that!

Appreciate that! For me variety is the spice of life and I really love to make the photos pop in different ways, I find that there are so many fun and interesting ways to accomplish that. So PP is a good chunk of my overall process and I get more adept at it everyday. Plus it's a very rewarding feeling taking a picture that you're just not too satisfied with and turning it into something that makes you glad to own a camera.

Thanks Henk & Larry - I'll try to do some real shots with it this weekend if I'm not weatherbound...

Curious kitty!

I just got used to the idea of possibly using K lenses on the Q and now everyone's showing off their C mount stuff. Friggin' crazy all the possibilities this camera has for lenses and the crazy crop factors involved just add to the fun factor. Well, at least these older lenses seem very affordable.
