Heyho I missed a lot of great shots! Thanks for the comment on my last shot LeRolls

Just a play with lights. Had a good time with the wife and kid at the play centre though. I would have loved to take photos of my kid playing with the other kids but the centre doesn't allow it. We all know why.

And speaking of kids, my thoughts and prayers are with all those directly affected by the incident in Connecticut. It's really, really sad.

Just a few taken while cycling today.
JVA59 as a former 'burgher I love your shots. I have cycled in Polish hill many, many times. If you go to my site you may enjoy my shoot of the
church and I have a shot of some steps. Where are your steps taken from? Don't recognize where they are. Good work!

Many thanks, Bob! Enjoyed your site. Stairs are also in Polish hill, which is also where the next two were taken.

The B&W shot is great jva59 - the treatment certainly fits as the first car in view is a Corvair!

Bit of an experiment here--lots of PP to counteract dark.

Thanks Stormtech! Glad to have my suspicion that it was a Corvair confirmed. I remember them fondly from the early 70s I think. I think this shot might benefit from cropping , so...

Very nice! I think the crop helped the image. Of course now I am looking at the Corvair which probably shouldn't be the focal point of the image, but the crop brought it to the forefront.

I think the crop also helped by trimming some of the elements on both the extreme left and right edges taking them out of the view which concentrates it more on the road itself. The road does more now with the crop taking your eye up through the image.

Just the opinion of my old tired eyes........

Took some photos today at the pier. Used a smaller lens than last time (105mm)

More shots with my glued on 4mm f/1.2 CS lens.

I didn't manage to glue it on perfectly straight, so there's some tilt effect. The body cap also doesn't fit as precisely as a real lens mount either, so there is a bit of shift too. Not very much, but since coverage is so bad it's quite noticeable.

There are more in this set on flickr for those interested.

I was just saying that I need to take some shots of classic cars and this beauty was right in the parking lot as I was leaving work. 1953 Chevy Pickup Truck lovingly restored. Owner seemed pleased that someone was taking an interest. So glad that I've started editing the RAW files. Definitely gives you a little more leeway for the PP.

Thanks again, Stormtech. It continues to amaze me that that I can use the Q, with its allegedly terrible IQ, crop the result and still have what seems to me a good photo.
