Very nice! The first two remind me of what I'm used to seeing with film LeRolls. How did you process them?

Very carefully.....

Just kidding! Good old LR4 always does the trick. Plus shooting in RAW helps too. I sometimes add grain for the film look.

Good results. The Q encourages experimenting.

How about some HDR? Both shots taken with 3 separate exposures and combined and tone mapped with Machinery 2.5. This was my test outing for my new Q.

I have more from this set at post_eos's Album: Planes in HDR on the Q - PentaxForums.com

By the way, I got more than 400 shots out of the battery and still wasn't in the red yet! I guess it lasts longer taking them 3 at a time.

Very fine photos indeed, Sunny, and a further inducement for me to order an 06 soon. Meanwhile, just to show that the Q really can go anywhere, here are a few shots taken on skis last week at Stowe, where I was pleased to manage without disgracing myself despite not having been on skis since the late '70s.

Nice shots - I like the treatment you gave them.

I just got the 06 lens - haven't shot with it much yet, but so far I really like it.

Skiing - the last time I was on skis was ~1975 - would ski every weekend from when I was 7 years old until 17 - I just couldn't think about it now - good for you to get out there and enjoy it!

I am usually not a huge fan of HDR but that Sabre jet shot (Edit: The whole series) is superb!

Thanks, Stormtech! Sounds like we're the same vintage. I'd love to ski again, but don't know when I'll have the opportunity. One more picture from Stowe, this one taken while snow-shoeing during and just after heavy snowfall.

Thanks. I'm not a big fan of overdone HDR either. I try for a more natural look. i just want to capture the range of the scene with HDR.

Thanks again for your kind words.
