The Q and the 01 handles the cold very well, even dropped it in the snow occasionally without any problems afterwards.

The obligatory cat photo. I've only taken 42 shots so far (mostly of my couch and bookshelf) but I'm impressed with a few things. First, the shake reduction is fantastic. I'm hand-holding shots at 1/15 and 1/20sec and getting sharp shots. Also, the dynamic range is impressive when shooting RAW. In Lightroom I've been able to pull back lots of details in the highlights.

I had assumed I would buy this camera, play with it for a few weeks, and then sell it since I have a Micro 4/3 camera. But I think the Q is a keeper. Now to get that fisheye...

Dave your picture is not showing, but when you get it fixed I'm sure we will see a great picture of a Qat See https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-q/212653-q-isms-language-q-owners.html#post2248859

Yeah, I haven't noticed any trouble with the Q in cold, except atrocious battery life in around -20C. I wish that I had more original batteries because my bad purchase of the Jupio one almost makes the camera into a 36 shot film camera if shooting in the cold and having the Pentax one in the charger at home.

Nice detail and SR is wonderful for low light. So you also think that the Q is an entirely different thing than other mirrorless systems? Dunno why but it really is.

Just curious what you guys think of this shot. An early pic that I never bothered to develop but thought I'd throw it into Silver Efex Pro 2.

I like it alot. It would be really nice if you could go into Photoshop and remove the telephone wires.

How do you like Silver Efex Pro?

Thanks! Working on the power lines right now. Only had SEP for a little over a week now but so far I love it.

Looks just like my little 'Pepe' Japanese Chin. He passed on this past summer. I sure do miss him. Love your shot.

Steven, I assume these were taken on the flightline at EAFB, a great series. Thanks for sharing Cliff
NASA moved their manned flight ops to the Palmdale airport/Air Force Plant 42. They took over one of the hangers and call the place 'Dryden Aircraft Operations Facility', (DAOF). Our instrument is in the nosecone of this current campaign.

Good one, the B/W works well here

The power lines are indeed a bit distracting but not that much.
