Thanks! Had to risk the accident, it was just too damn pretty not to be captured.

That is just awesome for being in motion during the shot.

No worse than the epidemic of cell phones while driving - at least with a camera you are being creative.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm quite happy with the results all things considered.

None 4 Me

9 outside so my Qwalk became a Qlunch at the lobby grill. Of course everyone else had the same idea so lunch was served at the bar. Q / 01 8.5mm f/1.9 (I'll never get accustomed to Q8.5/1.9) 1/30 @ f/8.0 ISO 640 just messing around learning the camera (which is really about the same as a K-01 controls wise). I guess I'll have to renew my pBase account if I'm going to start posting again, or start a new one since I can't get in to renew the account.

Beautiful colors, there! I work as a morning radio DJ, so I'm at work before the sun comes up. A few days ago there was an incredible sunrise. Vivid royal purples and fluorescent oranges with cobalt blues.... And of course, I didn't have my camera with me. Tried to get it on my cellphone, but it didn't work out too well. I'm gonna have to start taking the Q to work with me. :-)

stormtech: LOL... I can imagine what my Q would look like after a day jingling around with my keys. :-P I do actually have it at work with me today, though.

I tried to keep the Q with me whenever I leave the house. I have the Dashpoint 20 case from Lowepro and I just keep it attached to my belt, usually forget about it until I actually need it. Kind of wish I could fit the 06 in the case as well.

I'd probably be more inclined to stick it in a case & clip it to my belt if I had a pancake lens of some kind. Maybe if that new Q "cap lens" is cheap and doesn't suck horribly, that could be an option for me. :-)

Is there some reason you shot at f/8? A quick check tells me that I have never shot the 01 stopped down beyond f/4.5, and except for toy lenses and tests I have not stopped anything down beyond f/5.6 on the Q.

I was curious what would happen if I stopped down to f8. Didn't work so well, did it?

Nothing much happens. You get lower optical resolution and use a higher ISO. Neither is noticeable at web size.

That explains a lot.

Quick Shot By the Side of the Road

I am loving the Q and amazed at the quality of the photos for such a tiny sensor!
