Hi all! I just acquired a white Q a couple of days ago and was waiting for the weekend to go test out my Q. However, this morning before I headed out to work, I noticed the rising sun hitting this collectable figure just right. I really had to grab a shot before heading out the door. I must say that I'm quite surprised at the results from the Raw file. I can't wait to go out and shoot with this wunderkamera!

Cool shot, looks like an ocean! Have you tried the magnification and peaking to help with focusing?
Thanks .
Yeah, the focus peak is quite useful, but after-the-fact (shot), I still have a hard time judging sharpness.

I love shooting out airplane windows and this shot shows why. Beautiful!
Thanks guys!

I loved walking through the mountains with my camera in the pocket of my coat instead of in a bag around my shoulder

Indeed, it seems to me that the Q sharpens the pictures a bit on the lcd screen, then i'm sometimes a bit disappointed when i'm back home.

All of the shots everyone has posted from the last few days are so good. I love the old time feel of the Paris shots and the street photography is just great.

I went out today with an F35 to 70 on a fotodiox adapter. It's the first time I've gone out with just an adapted lens. I wanted to see how it would do I didn't want any excuse to put a native lens on. The day was overcast and the light was really flat, but here's a couple from a walk around the local botanical gardens with my daughter. I was hoping to get some shots to add to the review thread but conditions were so bad I didn't feel it was a fair test for the lens.

I have an old Kern-Paillard Yvar 36mm f/2.8 in D mount that had the focus stuck. After putting in the oven for a while, focusing is possible, but not exactly pleasant.

Here's the lens on the the Q (shot with a K5, but that's ok, right?)

And here are two shots with it. I might get around to a proper test later.

Hensoldt Wetzlar Portable Microscope s.nr 9377

I don't know if this should be called adapted or not and I have not found any info on this microscope. Still this may be interesting to someone and many already got the adapter called "01 Prime".

My father showed me an old microscope that was used to examine cracks in metal at his workplace a long time ago. It is really clear when looked through with the eyes and seems to ave an magnification of 20X and an adjustible micrometre scale. I tried it out with the Q body but didn't get it to work but with the 01 Prime it's just to put the lens to the eyepiece. Sadly there is some field curvature and distorsion with that combo but sharpness in the center is really good!

The extremely simple setup

Close-up of a label without the micrometer scale.

Close-up of a label with the micrometer scale.

Close-up of a small aquarium floating plant with a slightly misfocused micrometer scale. 3D objects like this needs stacking I guess.

Do you want crops? I may switch out the pics if I get better ones.

Wow! In the setup shot I thought you were trying to use the Q as a drill press

It's really interesting and the Q plus the microscope and some lighting is small enough to fit my jacket pockets, though the case and microscope is quite heavy. Looks quite badass, ey? It even smells like 100 years of industry.
