Today was crisp and the recent snow hasn't really started to melt yet in St. Louis, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky and I believe every single living soul in town was of a mind to get out and do something. Home burglars could have had a field day.
Katie and I got in the car and journeyed down to Missouri Botanical Garden for the Annual Orchid Show. Now technically we weren't outside to see the orchids, but we had to walk through the grounds themselves going from conservatory to greenhouse to display house, so we say it counted. She had her Optio A40 (and an iPhone) and I had one of the Q's (it was a coin flip between the Q and the K-01 but I wanted to see what we could do - and we pretty well know the K-01 is outstanding).
We didn't see and other Q's, or any other Pentax cameras, or even any Nikons - but boy, Oh boy did we see a lot of Canon dSLR's. Every single one had the hood reversed on the lens. I did share a smile with a young couple passing a Leica back and forth between them, who nodded and winked and looked at the Q as I smiled at the Leica (MP I think), but that was it.
Here are a few cross posted from the WPD Upload taken with the 01 and the 02 (which was stronger than I thought it would be).
