Pentax Q

I have recently purchased a Pentax Q, I must say I am very impressed given the sensor size etc. See attached sample Photos.

Thanks! Much appreciated.

Just snapped up a used DFA 100mm Macro WR from a forum user so I will soon be expanding my repertoire as it arrived today.

All those shots with the 06 are really bad for my wallet... I think I will just end up buying it no matter what though. The constant aperture of f/2.8 and the small size make it the perfect companion for my 01 and 03.

Here are some more photos from me.

With the Pentax-M 55 f/1.8

Very nice!

Some Fish Eye shots from today

The fisheye can be used to create some images you just couldn't any other way. For the money its great but I wish the focus was a little better I don't like having to fiddle so much with it. Here is a post I wrote about using it previously

Here is a shot from q10 with Sigma 500 "bigma" attached via Pentax adaptor. At full throw of the lens it can be a bit soft but for 2500+ mm think it's not too bad. This has been run through Lightroom. I find contrast and saturation is a bit understated on the q10 but very workable. But could just be me being new with the q10 too.

Nice pic Wayneheim. I've also found that boosting saturation helps with adapted telezooms.

Here's a few shots with the 55-300 on the Q along the shore of Lake Ontario. Light was not the best so there is more noise than I would like. Post processing involved boosting clarity and saturation, quite a bit of sharpening and a touch of noise reduction.

This is a western grebe which is thousands of kilometres out of its range:

Call me dense, but I just realized that the reason the flash pops up is because if you don't pop it up, you get a shadow of the lens from the flash in your photo.
