Very cool! Looks otherworldly... :-)

I've been meaning to go play around with some light painting too. Kinda need to find a good subject first, tho..

Still digging through photos I took at the Lemay car museum in Tacoma Washington. I really took a lot of Bold Monochrome shots...maybe too many =).

Looks like a 1950 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe with the State Trim Package... but all I've got to go on really are the tail lights...

Holy smokes, I'm not sure if you are right or not but, you've got me convinced =). You must be a Studebaker guy - I have a few friends that also love them but, I don't know much about them but, this car was a beauty for sure.

It really is a great filter - I'm half tempted to just leave in that mode forever - kind of like my own little mini Leica Monochrome =).

Auto Chinon 135mm f2.8 @f5.6 iso250 1/250s handheldn, uncropped. Red-dot sight mounted on top of the Q really helps aiming long lenses.

I've owned three Studes, it's true, but that's all behind me now - I'm not doing the classic car thing anymore (unless it's a classic mini someday). Studes were strangely ahead of their time in many, many ways, but they were a bit costlier than the big three and didn't have the budget to update their cars after the mid 50s, so they folded in the mid 60s. but hey, they invented STP, and that's still around... (by the way, STP stands for "Studebaker Transmission Products")

let me see... I think I have some Q Stude shots around here somewhere...

One of my goals this year is to try to improve my landscape photography. Didn't have my K5 with me when I spotted this, so out with the "Q". One thing I didn't realize was that at 5mm, the lens only closes down to F8. Wasn't expecting that. lol
That's why we have an awesome built-in ND filter
