I was just playing with the Q, fotodiox adaptor and an old M series Zoom lens.

I'm finding it very difficult to manually focus anywhere near spot on by viewing through an LCD screen - any hints and tips gratefully recieved

Enable the AF assist x4 and also Focus Peaking to see if it helps. You may need to update the software to get the peaking feature.
To turn on the x4 magnification press the OK button.

Thanks, Larry - I've already got the focus assist set to x2 and then scroll the wheel to zoom in if needed and use the directional buttons to move the point of focus / zoom, too.

However . . . . I'm off to google "focus peaking" now

My 06 came back from repair. Or more accurately a new 06 came back instead of my broken one. But that's ok, I took some shots with it anyway.

More shots with the Q7.

With the 06. (ceiling on a Temple (Sensoji in Asakusa, IIRC) )

I'm beginning to find this to be the perfect accompliment to a DSLR setup.
The Q7 either does long range duty with the 06 or fast street normal with the 01.
No need to switch lenses on the DSLR and the Q7 is not big/heavy to encumber me.

with 01

I also think that the Q7 seems to meter better than my K30.

with the 06

This thread is getting downright intimidating. But I'll offer a few of my recent ones.

A, 02 lens:

While I really like the idea of this last one, the reflection off of the airplane's window is more evident than with the other photos. i like it anyway.

I'm not entirely sure what these really look like - I've edited them on an 11" MacBook Air who's monitor isn't calibrated. So I'm somewhat guessing about what the picture looks like.
