I crew on a friends boat and had the Q and 01 out on last nights race, all shots after sunset. Poor guy made some mistakes and it cost him the lead over us, he never caught us and we beat him to the finish. I believe we got a 3rd in class finish. I normally bring a sacrificial old P&S to the races in a belt case but for some reason took the Q last night. We are quite busy and need both hands most of the time so not too many opportunities for photos but many chances for camera damage. I was sitting on the rail being ballast so I had a chance to shoot a little during the last leg, I did loose a lens cap, back to the P&S next week

These shots really bring the race to life!--sailing like that is an experience I've always wanted to have.

Just love the Q7! A longish exposure just when it's about to drizzle in London.

Nice sunset, love rhythm.
Very nice, I like the sun on the waves in the foreground.

I chanced upon this magnificent house while cycling the other day. It's a holdover from the 1860's I think. As so often, it's in situations like this that the Q comes in handy!

Very nice pictures! When you say "HDR" - was that the in-camera HDR or did you exposure bracket and use software to do the HDR? I really like how they came out.

Not quite sure I understand how this picture came out this way. I was playing around with different shutter speeds on the Q while shooting pictures out of a window on a prop jet. I can understand getting blurry blades as you get faster, and then potentially freezing the blades when your shutter speed gets fast enough. But I don't understand why I got so many blades that appear to be stopped - there aren't that many blades on a Dash 8. Taken at 1/2000 sec with the Q and the 03 lens.

Another shot, one that's completely understandable (Q, 06 lens)

I took only the Q on a recent trip and thought the tiny camera did quite well, under all sorts of conditions.

I believe that's caused by the rolling shutter effect:

Hi mtngal. These were taken using the in camer "HDR AUTO" preset. The only touching up I did afterwards was on brightness, contrast and midtones.
Thanks for the comments.
