I gotta be honest, when I saw those bunny pics I thought "Snow in Florida? ... Oh wait, that's sand." Nice shots of those birds, too--very beautiful.

Shot with the Pentax OEM adapter and a SMC-M 135 f3.5 lens f8 seems to be the sweet spot. Shot on my Q7 all hand held. First a small blue heron, a big mouth looking at me, and a tricolored heron. All hand held, good thing it's a 650mm lens I wouldn't want to be that close to the gater

As a busy Engineer, the Pentax Q is my camera of choice when visiting "strange" factories in foreign lands. - Steve A, Engineer (March 2014)

Do you reckon I could be a Pentax brand ambassador? Would they give me a free K-3 or maybe a 60-250?

How are you liking the 06, I noticed all you shots above were @ f8. The Q starts in diffraction at apertures smaller than f4. You will get sharper images shooting at more open apertures f4 or larger (f2.8) You will notice if you shoot in program mode the Q will try to open up the lens unlike the DSLR's that like to stop down to f5.6 to f8 for more DOF and sharpness. Enjoy the lens. I like your images completely different environment than where I am spending the winter but I head back north next week.

Using AV. Thanks for tip. One thing I did notice is much better WB than I'm getting out of the camera than I'm getting with the K3.

Some more images from my month with the 06 on the Q7:

It works for panoramas (this is a stitch of 60 hand-held images)

It's small enough to smuggle into music festivals

It's sharp enough

The bokeh's quite nice

It even works for birds if you're stealthy
