Pelicans with my Q7

Shot from the Naples FL. Pier with my Q7 and 06 lens, what a joy to watch those guys diving. They mostly hit the water under the pier so I couldn’t shoot them hitting the water. Some funny poses on the way down.

Absolutely terrific, Hans!

I used the Pentax Q with the 03 Fisheye and the AF 540 FGZ flash yesterday when I was taking pictures at some video game expo yesterday. I got some interesting results, and I'll probably use this combo again in the future.

One interesting thing to note is that when the flash was tilted forward anything more than 60 degrees, the light from the flash was spilling onto the lens, causing the pictures to get ghosted and washed out (I was using a stofen cap). By the end of the day, I was using the flash when it was in the straight upright position.

I took the Q + 01 out for a night time walk and came across this guy. I was impressed with this little combo at night

Nice, I can see I don't use the 01 as much as I should

These are both with the 01 lens. I'm not sure how I managed not to get anything sharp in either image...

Embarked on a spontaneous Q expedition late this afternoon. No advance planning, just had my Q with me and felt like taking a very long way home on my bike.

Super moon shot Pancolart. That is a big lens and it is not easy to shoot on the Q. I am surprised at the quality of such an old lens. Please post an image in the lens comparison thread at the top of the forum.
thanks

Been imagining this shoot in my head for a week now, finally got to go out and shoot it this afternoon. I have to say, the DOF on the 01 still astounds me sometimes to this day, really happy with how it renders the greens of the wood into a nice blur. That and I just love how her eyes have such an intense color to them, but then again I'm a bit biased as these are pictures of my girlfriend
I still think they're pretty good though

Cheers,
~M

Myke, Pictures aren't showing up. Your description is tantalizing without them!

Ugh seriously? I linked them from flickr first (which didn't show up once I posted it) then again from imgur (which also didn't show up when I posted it) and then I finally directly attached them through the forums and they show up at least for me... here's a link to the set on Flickr. I have no idea why it's being so finicky tonight.

Thanks for the heads up though
