For a long time I had a hard time deciding on upgrading to the Q7 from the OG Q. I really loved the feel of the Q as a tool and was quite happy with its results...but I finally bit the bullet a few weeks ago and i'm glad I did--the Q7 really is superior in just about every single way. Much better and quicker focusing, much better details throughout. Although the body doesn't feel as nice the shooting experience feels just as good and it still feels like a premium product in my eyes. I'd say the handling feels better than the Q, with a nicer grip and buttons that seem easier to press. And i'm loving the wider angles provided by the larger crop sensor.

Q7 02 shooting a Q10 with an Opteka 6.5mm Canon mount that I normally use on my Canon 5D2 and 60D. If I did my math right that makes this a 35.75mm lens on the Q10. Should be fun! Anyhow, I like the shots the Q7 took. Surprisingly clear, I am constantly amazed at everything these little Q series cameras can do.

When I get some good shots with the 6.5 on the Q10 I'll post them up too! I love this thread, you guys can shoot! There is some real talent on this forum!

Would love to see your shots Trey45. I just recently acquired the Rainbow 3.5mm. It is quickly become my favorite light-weight wide len.

Cross posted from the MaQro club thread...

I rescued a little bee the other morning. It was on the sidewalk and likely would have been squished. It was very sluggish and obviously out of sorts. Not so good for the bee, but it made an extended photo shoot possible later in the day. Once it got warmed up in the morning sun the next day, it was well enough to fly away.

In the second shot below, you'll see a row of tiny hooks on leading edge of the rear wing. I just learned this is called the hamuli and it hooks the front and back wings together during flight.

The third shot shows the corbicula or pollen basket. Basically a concave area surrounded by hairs on the tibia of the 2 rear legs where the bee collects pollen. Literally the "bee's knees."

Shot with the DFA100 WR macro on the Q.

A spontaneous Q outing. I had no plans to do any shooting today, but threw my Q and two lenses in the saddle bag of my bike 'just in case'.

Nice shots!
And seems like the Q is with you all the time.

Q7+06 Zoom

To be able to go on a photo tour on foot and still be able to have 200mm capability is not to be understated.
Just returned from a trip to Bali and used the Q7+06 zoom as my long reach lens and my A7+Pentax lenses for other stuff.
Very good combo.
Whenever I needed the reach, I'd just pull the Q7 out of the bag.
No fumbling for a lens change while the moment passed me.
