Nice job, Mike. By the way, I just hopped over from another photog forum where a guy posted a video from a NEX-7 mounted on a Phantom. I've flown my Q on a model airplane, but no way would I strap one of my APS-C cameras on one!

Q7 and 06 lens straight out of Camera jpeg. Quite surprised by the quality of the pic.

Actually it was a lucky shot on a good day. And fun.

Tony, can't imagine a NEX-7, with lens, hanging from a Phantom. I struggle to get decent flight times with the Q. His Phantom must be on steroids.

Mummy let me share this. I don't often succeed with portraits, but I quite like this one.

Pentax Q with Sonnetar 25 mm @ f/1.1, 1/50 s, ISO 125

I finally received my Q7. I was fooling around with some of the different filters and effects. This is shot with one of the quick dial presets, "Brilliant Color," and with the 01 lens. Other than the resize (with Gimp) this is straight out of the camera.

Edit: A section of Goldmine Stream Falls, Hamilton County, New York. Rocks in the streambed like those in the foreground are where the name of the stream comes from.

Thanks for looking.

While waiting for a flight at Austin Intl Airport I took a timelapse of an arrival and departure of a flight using the Q and the 03 fisheye.
(I was surprised to see the plane gradually get lower as it filled with passengers and luggage, but I guess it makes sense.)
Shots were taken at 10 second intervals, each shot is displayed for .1 seconds in the movie.
(watch in full screen at 1080 to see all the detail)

Reflecting

A quick snap of a bank window turned into a small abstract. No editing other than crop.

I just upgraded the FW for the 01 lens tonight, just because I think it's good practice to have the latest, but has anyone noticed any difference from using it?

Nice job on the time lapse Larry, now if I could just get myself into the habit of carrying a tripod.

iCrop, very interesting shot using aerial photography one more thing to think about.

CFWhitman, nice going with the water shot the framing and large rocks in the foreground really make the shot

Some clueless guy again posted some RX100III camera size shots vs Q7 in the non-Pentax section.

Whats not to like about Q7?
Its a mini 200mm in the bag.
