Coastguard Cutter Bramble

A museum on the St. Clair River south of Port Huron Mi. Shot with Q7 and 03 fisheye lens. Self guided tour I was the only one on the ship. Tight quarters for the crew but it looked comfortable. I looked like the crew just got off the ship and left everything as if they were to return later in the day. Neat displays and nicely maintained

Wow, those are some really neat shots with the 03 lens! I may have to pick that one up at some point.

My Q just arrived today (new user), so I took a walk at lunch and took some test shots. Nothing special, but I was impressed with the quality of the 01 lens with this teeny tiny camera:

That's an interesting use to put the 03 lens to. You could never really get such revealing shots in such close quarters without some kind of superwide lens. The 03 gives us a better view of the interior than we could otherwise get from a Q7, even if it is a bit distorted. Nice shots.

Thanks Deesquared. I posted the final cropped version largely because I'd heard complaints about lack of sharpness, but that was not my experience on my (admittedly short) first few shots. I'll be taking it on a family trip to the coast this weekend, so I'll be anxious to see how it performs.

My new accessories arrived today: the Pentax PK-PQ adapter, Sirui monopod, and ballhead, shown here with my Q and Vivitar/Kiron 70-150 f/3.8 Close Focusing Auto Zoom. So of course, I had to test everything with shots of . . . flowers. This is my first ever monopod, and my technique will have to be refined. I took 5 shots, and only one was good enough to show. Still waiting for the Pentax tripod foot to arrive.
