Q with the 110 20-40mm f2.8 at f4(ish)

The q fitted in my pocket whilst the SLR did not, and I didn't want to carry the SLR a hundred KM's to the track. It would ruin the ride to and from. Compromise thank you Q :P

Photos edited (slightly) in Dxo ( Dxo unfortunately does not have a profile for the Pentax Q series... ).

There must be some female praying mantis in my garden because all of a sudden there are males showing up conspicuously.

I was sick and tired of people telling me that you need a bigger sensor for professional work. So what did I do? A photoshoot with the Q7!

Q + DFA100WR
Larry - Love it! Have GOT to try the DFA100WR macro - was this handheld or using a tripod?

Thanks

It's jpg right out of camera using the monochrome setting. Could have used a bit more power on my flash to get a bit more light in the shadows, and I wish I would have told her to ditch the socks.

I used a tripod because it was late afternoon and the light wasn't great. The Q needs to be used at lower ISO than the Q7, which is in the shop for a stuck SD card slot.
ISO 200, 1/10 sec, f5.6 ? (#2 on adapter) with the little Q flash to help.
This photo is rotated, he was hanging upside down

Here is one I took just now of a green mantis in the pink hibiscus bush with better light.
This was handheld, ISO 125, 1/250 f4 (#1 on adapter) , I did rest my arms on the ladder I was on for support but iis windy so the subject was swaying.

The first one is rotated, this is actual orientation from a little further back.
