Took the Q out the other day. being this small It's always a good choice of camera when playing outside with the dog. It was a great autumn day, I just wanted to capture the clash of colours and a tree shape cloud formation I thought was cool.

Up here, as of today, most of the colours are gone. We had a few windy and rainy days so the leaves didn't stand a chance. Glad I took pictures when I did because I have a feeling I'll be taking snow pictures sooner rather than later

First time posting pictures here. I took advantage of the previous weekend that was incredibly sunny and got these shots with my new Q10 and Standard 02 lens. These are just like I took them, have not done anything on them, still have to shot in Raw. I like the one of the yellow flower because of the vivid colours. Tried some black&white on my pets, because of the light and the b&w with contrast setting, the one of the dog turned out very dramatic.

Still trying to come to grips with my new Q - the small buttons are a real pain in the a** but things are getting better.
The red tint on the Chickadee is just reflection off the red watering basin.

Cmar, excellent handheld night shot. Not an easy shot to make. Super effort.
thanks for sharing

At 70x I have been too close for good results. Need to get this setup down to the Mississippi flyway for the fall migration where everything is at least 1/8 of a mile away or so.
As it is I'm just shooting at stuff in my backyard.
Shooting at 30 feet at 70x is just too close for a camera with no viewfinder. I'm hoping it will come into its own where I need a really long reach.

Thought I'd share this from last night's lunar eclipse. Taken with the Q and the Sigma 100-300 f/4 wide open at approx. 270mm - the equivalent of 1485mm:

Not the best shot due to high ISO and difficulty focusing due to a wobbly tripod and poor eyesight...but it's the best of a bad bunch!

I hate you, I wanted to do a shot like that here, and nothing but cloud, I couldn't even see the moon let alone photograph it!

Here are my shots of the Eclipse with the Q and Sears 300mm prime. Processed in light room and photoshop.. My tripod was in use with the K-30 doing a time lapse of the eclipse, so for this I used my monopod and bungee-corded it to a fence post.
