Q7 and 01 Prime. Love how easy it is to get in Close and low. These are just a few inches Tall. Larger size on flickr.
For years most of my pictures were taken using just a few prime lenses. That practice ended when my first auto-focus camera came with a midrange (35-70mm I think) zoom. The 01 has reintroduced me to the joy of primes.

Thank you for this example of what it can do.

Here's a study of (and from) this metal tubular tower, all with the 07 mount shield lens and Q7. This tower, due to the oxidation, has a strange look. Dune anyone?

All with the Q7 and 08 wide. I'm close to the point now that I could run with a Q7/08 compact if there was one!

Cathedral at night

A strange one this, it's from a windowsill inside a pub, looking at the cathedral above, the pub was an old theatre and the pic is mostly reflections from the inside of the pub.

A museum documenting the making of coffin fittings in it's old factory

A few of Birmingham Library, the largest in Europe. Mostly ultra modern, but a few old rooms - I liked it, spent two hours here just looking at nothing!

View from the library, 1/3 of the way up

St Martins church interior. I use a small jugglers bean bag, resting on anything I can find and jam the Q7 hard into it to get it stable for low iso, long shutter speed interior pics.
That 5th shot is really nice.

Recent trip to Berlin. I really like highcontrast b/w, even though I newer shoot JPG with "real cameras" :-)

Snow is finally gone!

Did a quick walk with the Q7 and 06 again. The 06 is quickly becoming my favourite lens from the line up. The more I use the Q7 the more I appreciate the compactness of the system and gotta give kudos to pentax on how they manage to make a 70-200mm constant F2.8 for the Q system. I'm probably one of the laziest photographers I know, I abandoned the DSLR game because of how it weighs so much, physically and mentally. Taking a DSLR with me gives me this mental pressure that since I have DSLR then I MUST, MUST get that perfect shot. Why the Q system is fun is that it takes that pressure away, it balances my hobby and my enjoyment of my adventures perfectly.

Taken with Q-S1, 06, AF 20mm extension tube, 540fgz and was hand held. I'm sure a tripod would be much better. That's about half of a kernel of corn.

Q7-07

Just in todays mail, my new 07 lens! Here's the very first shots with it.
I used the bold monochrome preset on the camera.

I think I'm really going to enjoy this lens/preset combination.
