Heck we may have been the only Pentax shooters there. Although I was carrying an Olympus. Maybe next year we could meet up.

I kept looking for anyone with a Pentax, but I don't think I saw one. It was pretty sad. I posted in the General section asking if anyone was going, but its pretty dead in that area.

Shot a Show in Vancouver this evening; Couldn't get a good idea of what was or wasn't allowed, so brought the Q.

I found the limits on it more or less; Out of the 250 images taken, There's actually a ton of decent shots, but only 30 or so that I'm really happy with; quite a few shots where far too noisy, and a few where lost to the limitations of the cheap CCTV lens I was using for a wide angle; Amazing at night time street and trail shots with a ghostly effect, but terrible for anything else really. Most of the good shots where a Super Takumar 55mm1.8 wide open. Great focal range for this sort of shooting.

What I did find is that 90% of the time you can rely on the Bold Monochrome and Unicolour Bold to output great images. the engine on that is amazing. I have also found that I am... Not the best at pulling images out of RAW. I really need to look back at these after figuring out Post Processing.

As it is, here are some highlights. Album is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/134851571@N04/albums/72157657476746768

Just thought I would see how far I can push the Q-S1 sensor with a crop and some PP.
House Sparrow at about 30 feet with 560mm glass.

When we were in London, we decided to do something a little different and went on a Street Art tour of Camden. Street art it seems is quite different to Graffiti and is mostly done with the owners permission. Often a person give a group permission, and the artists do a picture for 2-4 weeks before it is painted over by another.
This is the Q7, 06 lens and jpeg from the camera, tweaked a bit for contrast/brightness. a little saturation and sharpened. I believe it's Animal from the Muppets

Okay, now I've gotta ask; What glass are you using for this?

What is that scope, and how Much? That looks dang good, if a bit unwieldy.
