I'm pretty stoked
I picked up the HD 55-300 a few days ago and have been playing around with it on my K3, amazed at the price / performance ratio. It's sharper than I'd expected, especially for the money, and compared to the "vintage" 60-300 zoom and 300mm prime Tamron Adaptalls I've been using until now. Anyway, I tried it out with my Q7 for the first time tonight - the somewhat cliched moon-shot. I know my efforts don't compare well to others, but as a first attempt with the combo I was pleasantly surprised. Focussing was a little touch-and-go, but not too much of a problem - and I suspect practice will yield better results
Taken at 1/200 sec, ISO 100, 300mm at f.... (er... had the adapter set at 1.5)... A little post-processing in LR6, primarily a bit of contrast and sharpening, and conversion to B&W.
