The 06 is doing you proud, Carol. Very sharp - you can see all the trichomes on the flower bud

Mike thank you! I'm very impressed with the Q, and I really am liking the 06 immensely!

Yesterday during my walk I noticed a goose family at the drainage pond between a local mall and the bypass, so today I took my birding kit {Q7 + Sigma 70-300mm APO + Hoodman clone + monopad} with me. I didn't see the geese, but a couple of mallard ducks were sitting in the weeds on my side of the pond

After a few minutes, as I watched from a distance, they slowly got up and moved into the water. Once they were swimming, I understood why they had been moving so slowly

I recently got the Pentax 06 Telephoto Zoom and this Saturday I took delivery of a 4 pcs. set of Borwin close-up lenses, (having read pacer's endorsement of this type of lenses for the Q).

My first hunting grounds:

Pentax Q10 and 06 lens at 45mm (no close-up filter).

My first hunting grounds were a bunch of flowers on my desk. I am still learning how to use the close-up lenses properly together with the built-in flash, but initial results seem quite promising.

Some first results:

Pentax Q10 with 02 Standard Zoom at 15mm and +10D close-up lens

Pentax Q10 with 06 Telephoto Zoom at 15mm and +10D close-up lens

Pentax Q10 with 06 Telephoto Zoom at 20mm and +10D close-up lens

Pentax Q10 with 06 Telephoto Zoom at 40mm and +10D close-up lens

I happened to glance out the window & saw this beautiful rainbow. Grabbed the Q and the 06 and got these shots.

Thank you! I'm amazed at what this little camera can do! In the past with other cameras, rainbows never showed up as vividly as you saw them; but the Q sure captures it!
