Pentax Auto-110 18 mm at f 4 on genuine Q

I tried some night photos yesterday during my business trip. Even first Q is fine for available light with some small prime thanks to it's effective shake reduction!

We moved away from Toronto in 1982, seems nothing much has changed, in that neighborhood anyway. Nice images though.

Many thanks, Heinrich. Actually one of the charms of the Junction is the mixture of old and new. New shops and restaurants come along pretty regularly, but many old ones carry on nicely.

I think it's pretty awesome to find an Eric Gill quote as graffiti behind a building like that. Here is the entire quote if interested:

That state is a state of slavery in which a man does what he likes to do in his spare time and in his working time that which is required of him. This state can only exist when what a man likes to do is to please himself.

That state is a state of Freedom in which a man does what he likes to do in his working time and in his spare time that which is required of him. This state can only exist when what a man likes to do is to please God.

Thanks, Trey45! Though in a modest way a fan of Gill's work, I didn't recognize it.

Bad weather at GSP airport

I took this shot with the Q7 and 02 standard zooms lens while sitting in a plane at GSP airport, waiting for the re-fuelling. I can understand that they wanted to wait until the thunderstorm had passed on ...

This cute jumping spider deserves a crop. I'm perpetually runing after the jumping spiders. They are difficult to find (here).
Some of them are really tiny, and I then try my hand at the macro reproduction ratio of 2:1 (1:1 minimum) with a lot of trash...
I'm also trying multiple flash diffusers and haven't found the ideal yet.
I need more spiders, for more tries…
No Pentax Q of course, a viewfinder is essential.

Heavy pp ? Nope : SOOC
Thanks Phenix jc, I love jumping spiders, too! Using Q7, when they're walking it's almost impossible, so my routine is to chase and wait untill they stop. It's a good manual focus practice.
You may not have many of these spiders but you certainly have the sky of great dramatic color!
