Cat on a Cool Tin Roof

Testing some adapted lenses on the Q7. First an Auto Sears (made by Ricoh, I believe) 135mm f2.8.

Next switched to the notorious radioactive Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4.

Tony Belding put the radioactive Takumar away! Look at what it did to the cat. It can't even stand after being exposed to that lens😉.
Thanks,

Is OK, I provided lots of soap bubbles to clean away any contamination.

SMC PENTAX-A 1:2.8 100mm

I was just trying to think of how I could get this shot using a more serious camera like my Sony A7. Not sure where I would get a stabilized 465mm f2.8 lens for it, though!

Oh noes, you've just invited an army of angry camera-spec lovers to tell us that using the same lens with A7 and cropping would have been much better!!

Tamron 75/3.9 and 16/1.4 CCTV lenses on genuine Q

Oslo and Lom in Norway (75 mm)

---------- Post added 07-23-18 at 07:49 PM ----------

... and 16/1.4. Both Tamron CCTV lenses are great for the Q, both are very versatile. Few more snaps from my holidays in Norway (Oslo/Jotunheimen mountains).

Digiscoping with Q7

In anticipation of the lunar eclipse, I tried out my Q7 and 01 prime as a digiscoping camera. I am fortunate enough to have both the Pentax XF fixed focal length eyepieces, the 8.5mm and 12mm, which are threaded to accept stepping rings.

You can use any telescope in theory, but I have used my PF65ED-II spotting scope here with the XF8.5mm. There is a bit of CA to deal with in Photoshop, which a superior eyepiece like the XW14 or XW10 probably wouldn't add.

The image is not cropped.

New Q10 user

Hi

I am new to this foruma as I just got a Q10 with the 02 standard Zoom.

These are two of my tryouts with the latest addition to my camera bag.
No PP, straight out o the camera.

I am working on adding a sliqhty larger grip to it to better suit my hands but other than that I really like the form factor.

I also want to thank all om the forum members for sharing a lot of information, it really helped me to take the plunge and add myself to the Q-brigade !

Regards
Leif

Welcome to the Q forum, Leif!
I like cool star burst of reflections on the first picture.
Looking forward to seeing your grip modification!
