I think you shot down the rationale for wanting a dedicated macro lens.

Thanks, but with or without rationale, we want a dedicated macro lens anyway!

Image I uploaded to accompany my review of the 03 Fish-Eye lens.

Lens set to hyperfocal distance, camera sitting on a Manfrotto C01 stand. Camera used was a Q7.

I left in the light source in the upper left corner to show how the 03 handles that sort of thing.

I took the Q7 to the Folk, Rhythm & Life festival in Eldorado, Victoria, (Australia) on the edge of the Victorian Alps. Here's a few from the weekend.

Pentax Q-S1 with Nikon 500mm F4P. Uncropped. The Q had more detail than shots I also took with a Sony A7RII with the same lens plus a 2x Nikon TC-301 teleconverter.

Great image @Shawn67. Q are formidable for ultra telephoto and some astrophotography work. Sometimes they even ace out the bigger cams.

The 500/4P is obviously very good. What about the A7RII without the TC 301 and then cropped into the 42MP ?
(Is the TC 300/301 recommanded for the 500/4P ? - I'll check B.Rorslett)
