Thank you! As for the DOF on the Mockingbird photo - the green in the background is some shrubbery that is quite a ways back, so with the 06 fully zoomed, it gives a nice background. The other aspect to the nice DOF in this photo I am guessing is based on how close the bird was to me. Mockingbirds are known for being territorial and will dive-bomb you, and other animals, defending a nest or their territory. I love these little birtds.
Apparently this one has decided that our entire front, back and side yards are her/his territory. So she was pretty close.
