I thought I'd have a go at winding my Q7 up to ISO6400 too. 06 zoom wide open. Focus is more of an issue than noise, I'd say.

Shot with Q7 and Q 06. Porcupines are mostly nocturnal but somehow this guy was on a tree chewing bark after the sun was up high. This year we're seeing more than usual porcupine activities during day time.

BTW thanks for your comments Deesquared and barondla! When we had really heavy snowfall last winter, I tracked the footprints of porcupines to find out where they nest and which tree they visit most often, so this year it's easier for me to spot them.

Thanks Piotrek K, when I saw one of your moon shots (Let's share shots with Q! - Page 406 - PentaxForums.com) I thought that it was probably better than any of my telescopesine as far as the sharpness is concerned, though it's hard to tell from small pictures. Is it a cheap one or an expensive one? Either way it's awesome.

Dark fall clouds and bright late afternoon sun, Homer City, Pennsylvania. Q7 ISO 250, 02 Standard zoom. Upsampled to 600 ppi then cropped and saved as a 300ppi 16x8 inch file.
