Took the Q and my Sigma 300mm f4 APO macro to the Zoo today. Quite hard to focus in the harsh sunlight, next time I take my Viewfinder to place it on the lcd-screen.

Great portraits Eric! What adapter and what aperture did you use?

Thanks. There are only two adapters for Nikon-mount lenses. I have the Kiwi-adapter. Maybe I will buy the Novoflex.

Aperture is f4 for all the pictures, the Kiwi is next to useless for other apterures.

These are awe-inspiring! What an astonishingly capable little camera the Q is.

Thanks, I have some more shots from yesterday :

The Q + telelens with bright max aperture and good optics is a winner. Can't wait to pair my Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 (Nikon-mount) with the Q. Even brighter max aperture than the Sigma 300mm f4 and even less diffraction. Should be great when I use my 2X TC and try to get some shots of the moon.

Stunning shots Eric! The last one has a bit of an abstract quality that I like. Don't know if I'm getting carried away, but I wonder if the Q paired with really good glass is going to become part of the kit for National Geographic type photographers. It seems like the kinds of high quality shots one can get (1600mm equivalent lens) are just not possible with any other set up.

Here are a couple shot at a marina on the shore of Lake Ontario, with the 55-300 on the Q. Light was getting low but I didn't wan't to shoot wide open to keep down chromatic aberration. Using the camera felt much more smooth. Had minimal trouble keeping subjects in the frame. I suppose I'm getting used to the set up. Photos are moderately cropped.

These are all ducks that I think are just passing through these parts during the change of seasons.

I had a guy ruin a morning of fishing a couple weeks ago, talking to me about chemtrails and conspiracies and following me from spot to spot.

Guess I'm out of the conspiracy theory loop, had to google it.
But it does explain what I saw the other morning.
Please don't ban me for posting a K-01 pic on the Q forum!
