Pentax Q B&W available light street shot.

Q, #01 8.5mm prime lens, f1.9 1/25 ISO1000. Camera set to lowest contrast in custom picture. High contrast filter turned on. Handheld using aux. optical viewfinder ( not Pentax or Leica).

Very cool! I did a bunch of street shots today using the Q. I must say that it makes for a very incognito camera on the street. I hope it's ok if we use this thread to post more examples?

The optical finder is from a Yashica Electro 35 double lens set. The wide and tele converter lenses screw into the fixed camera lens. Since the camera is a rangefinder it needed the aux. optical viewfinder for proper framing. I found this finder years ago for approx. $5. Had no need for it at the time but knew it would be useful some day.

Love the images Zorglub. In your hands the Q is a top tier street shooter. Feel free to post more images. I need to try more of this.

Congratulations all round!

Nice images, and a great look in B/W.

Seeing as Pentax have committed to the Q mount, we can expect even better bodies in the future. I think this is when the full potential will materialise. The Q lenses can take a larger sensor, it just hasn't been released yet!
