Gonna be honest... I didn't realize the Q took such great pictures. Nice job here to all who posted. Nice work. Ever since going to Las Vegas with my K-x I've had a strong desire to have a more light/compact camera for running the streets. I was thinking Ricoh GR to MX-1 and the Q, but till seeing these pics I figured the Q was last on the list. I worry about the small body being difficult to handle as I have trouble with electronics that are on the small side. I just don't want to get too invested in a bunch of lenses if I went to the Q... just a good walk around lens.

Hi OrangeKx - you cannot even begin to imagine how "Fun" the Q is to shoot & walk around with until you do. Its so Tiny, Inconspicuous & Unobtrusive - smaller than a smartphone - this is The Camera for Street Photography. Oh yeah, also for Portraits, Still Life, Landscapes & Candids.

I would think that is especially true if you have one with coloring that makes it look like a kid's bath toy!

Yup, reh321 you are right. My Q7 is a Rubber Duckie Yellow & Q10 is a Candy Apple Red.

OrangeKx,

I had the same dilemma, GR, MX-1, or Q. I decided on the Q for a couple of reasons. I had my dad's old M42 lenses I wanted to adapt, and I wanted a pathway for expansion since this camera was going to be my only camera, replacing a K100d with a broken focusing motor. I lost the pocketability of the GR or MX-1, but gained a much more versatile camera.

Original "Q" w/Color

Hello, "Q" Sorts!
Well, I've certainly underappreciated this camera's snaps in good light. Here area a couple taken recently in our area, strong light, setting on "vibrant", slightly cropped and repackaged to travel with no other enhancements. My B/W don't seem to be nearly as crisp as the ones I see published here. It has become my favorite go cam. Even makes respectable movies in good light.

Out for a stroll on a--somehow pleasingly--bleak, grey November day.

I love the first shot, not sure it it's the angle or the buildings, but it just screams SanFran. May help to level the foreground, but it may also lose it's impact.
