Extreme macro with Q

Shot with Pentax Q. 1st image to show size of subject. 2nd with Pentax DFA100 macro f4 ISO 125. 3rd image Olympus OM 20mm macro f4 ISO 125. Difficult working at these magnifications. No idea what magnification these images are at.
thanks

Hey, great stuff there! I love the middle one especially. If you're not using any extension tubes to alter the distance to the sensor, the magnification factor should be the same as it is on an APS-C sensor. So if you have a true 1:1 macro lens, the image on the sensor is still the same size as the actual object. But with the Q, you're now packing that small area with much more resolution, which should allow more detail over this smaller area of the image circle. So even though you may be just at 1:1 macro, you could be taking a projected image on the Q's 6.2mm x 4.6mm sensor and enlarging it to whatever display or print size you're using.

If you wanna go totally nuts, get some extension tubes to put on your macro lens to focus even closer for even higher magnification!

Nice. Would be cool to see what focus stacking could do with this setup.

Devorama, the DFA 100 macro had a 25mm extension tube. The Olympus Om 20mm macro is designed to start at approx 3x lifesize and with auto ext. tube go to 16X. So I was working at 3X. Wow.

Crewl1, I have done a few focus stacked images will have to give it a try on the Q. May not be easy o do with such high mag and the lcd. Will try though.
thanks
