Well folks, this thread isn't dead yet! When I had called about returning the original mix up, they noted on my account that they would honor the price in the future if they became available. Well, I just checked their site, and the single lens kit is once again available. Of course, it's listed at $660, but I just got off the phone with them and have one coming my way for the original $290. I'll update when it gets here. In the meantime, though, if you have all of your original paperwork, you might try calling them and seeing if you can get it at the adjusted price as well.

Sounds good - I still kept the picture of the original $290 price on my computer. If you need it, let me know. My friend also had ordered one at that price, so if it works out for you, I'll inform her. Thanks

I also just ordered it at that price, thanks. If I get the Pentax VS20 again I will not be a happy camper.

My daughter is already laying claim to it, so I see a fight brewing when it arrives.

The good news is, they have both listed on the site now, and with the Q at a much more expected price. I take it you kept the accessories you picked up previously? I may need to look into them myself.

I remember seeing the original post. I went and looked at the website, and it was still for sale at the $298 price. I had just bought my K5, and I really could not justify yet another camera. However, it would have been tremendous for travel and at that price - I should have.

I am somewhat kicking myself now.... but, I had my chance and made a decision.

Nice going! Now if I could only get my mom to stick it to QVC once before she buys another set of knives!

Congratulations Jodakast96. You got a super price on the Q. Enjoy it. A great little camera. Don't forget all the firmware updates for body and lens.
thanks
