Browsing the amazon deals, came across this:

Amazon.com: 2 PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO CONTINUOUS LIGHTING KITS W/ TWO FREE Day-Light CFL LIGHTS & UMBRELLAS FOR PRODUCT, PORTRAIT, & VIDEO SHOOT: Camera & Photo

That seems to be a really great deal and includes free shipping. If you scroll down to the "freq bought together deal", it is only $1+ more for all three items. I don't need more studio lights, but for this price I may have to order this...

Nice find. The 3 item combo is an amazing deal if you need lighting.

I don't need more lighting, but this is a deal I can't pass up (so I ordered) - it comes with shoot-thru umbrellas which are a plus...

Not the 3 item deal, but shipping is only a couple bucks - or just add the extra $15 or so to the cart for the free shipping...

Thanks for the heads-up. Even with the shipping it is a steal/deal. No more laundry basket soft box for my wife's eBay stuff.

I just checked and the Q will be an Amazon lightning deal today. Can I resist the temptation?
Pentax Q "Lightning Deal" is the black kit with 8.5mm for $499 instead of $649.

That won't work with DA lenses though, right? No "A" contacts, no stop down lever.

should still work wide open (so a DA18-55 may not be the best choice)

I imagine most people would use it with older lenses in any case since they are far easier to manually focus

Only the Pentax future adapter will possibly have any contacts.

For now pretty sure this is the one to get as it has aperture control.

Just waiting for confirmation that mine is shipping before I order the adapter.

I will wait for the Pentax version to see how it compares to the current third party PK-P/Q adapters with aperture ring. I will use the low cost Fotodiox PK-P/Q adapter with my Pentax 80mm ED and Celestron 100mm ED spotting scope, mirror lenses ,telescopes and K-mount lenses wide open. I have K-mount adapters for my GH2/GH1 cameras with and without an aperture ring for use with both FA and DA type lenses as seen in the following two photos.
