I got this lens today and despite my issues with dust spot all over my sensor trapped under the guard and it storming outside I managed to still get some shots (spots cant be seen until I stop down to f8). The lens seems to just be a c-mount lens screwed into a c-mount adapter a nice one at that (way smaller than the ones you get on ebay, I own one) but I feel like I was duped a little since I thought it was an actual native Q mount lens. The little rubber bands for focus grips are a great idea, such a great idea I put one on my 01, 02, and 03 lenses...
The lens has a pretty sharp and narrow depth of field but after shooting with the sonnetar its a walk in the park. Its an all metal design and takes a 30.5 filter, not a 30.5 0.5pitch filter like the one on the sonnetar. So the Auto 110 filters and hoods will work with it, I have the collapsable 110 asahi pentax hood coming in for it. The lens is nice and fun to shoot understanding its a toy lens, a $180 toy lens. The O-VF1 works nice with it, it does not replace the 01 for a standard lens but compliments it well as its softer and has a very shallow depth of field with manual focus, while the 01 is sharp with a large depth a field and auto focus. I cant wait to get out on the streets and shoot with it hopefully I can keep these spots under control so I do not have to send my Q in sooner than mid april when I plan too...
