Flash sync speed with On-camera flash.

Apologies if asked before.
In what way could the maximum sync speed of 1/2000th sec be utilised with the 01 Standard Prime and 02 Standard Zoom Lens?

A fast sync speed is useful for fill flash in bright light when using a large aperture (which will require the shutter speed to be is fast). 1/2000 s sync speed can be set with lenses with a built-in leaf shutter (the electronic shutter must be disabled).

Thanks Ole, that I know its the use of say an accessory flash unit rather than the built in flash which was my question, apologies if not clear

There are also times when you might want to overpower ambient light. I've seen glamor shots and dramatically lit portraits with blacked out backgrounds that are very effective. These are usually shot with a masked or snooted off camera flash and very small apertures in a reasonably lit room (so you can focus), but with the Q, very small apertures are not an option because of diffraction, so a fast sync would be the only way to go.

Not exactly everyday shooting situations, but I'm sure there are other applications, especially close up stuff, where having a fast sync could be useful. It's good to have different options available.
