Impromptu Venus Transit photo

I didn't even think to prepare to take a Venus Transit photo. But then I realized it's kinda a big deal so I should try to capture it. I only have one ND filter. It's 6 stop and 52mm thread. My big zooms take 62mm. I can't remember if I have step-down ring or not, so I just grabbed my old SEARS K-mount 135mm F/2.8 lens. I mounted this to my Pentax Q via adapters along with the 6 stop ND filter. It was barely enough. Good thing the Q can shoot 1/8000 sec. I shot this hand held pointed through my window. With a mirrorless camera, the image is burning into the sensor the whole time, so I shot a fast burst while moving the camera around so I didn't fry the sensor.

And there it is, not bad for what you had to shoot with.

Yeah, I'm just happy I could make out Venus. Althought I was wondering at first if I had a dusk speck on the sensor. :-)
