Do you regret getting a white Q? Does it get dirty from the hands easily?

If the Q came in silver it would be a no brainer. But instead I'm considering the white ; everything I have is black and I feel like a change.

Thanx,
-steve

I do not think that you would have an issues with staining easily the white Q, I personally do not know anyone with one but there are many owners on this forum and no one was complaining about it. I have a black one, took it to Europe for 6 weeks , very solid and well build performer, external surfaces are of quality materials.
I know some of my friends with white KX have some issues with dirt but those two bodies have very different external finish.
I had my Q+01 always protected in an old padded soft pouch ( from my Sony Walkman - some people might still remember what it was) in one jacket pocket and 02 in soft pouch ( purchased on eBay from China) in the other pocket. Very addictive camera.
Get three extra batteries ( eBay from China ) , you will need them , they do not last long.

I was in the same dilemma when I got my Q. What I esp. regretted was the inability to get the limited silver edition as this was a Japan only version is seems. What made me decide to get the Q was an afternoon with a white Q, so I initially wanted to get a white copy. I like the way the Q looks in white. What made me decide to get a black version in the end had nothing to do with any fear of getting the white Q dirty, as I found the camera to be made in materials that should be pretty dirt resistant. I just opted for black because of the more discreet nature of that colour.

My wife may have talked me into black, so I might be following in you footsteps Wim.

It's a beast

I've had a white Q for a couple of months. Mostly I carry it in my old leather Pentax 110 Super bag -- tiny thing -- but sometimes I just stick it in a pants pocket. It's a beast; don't worry about dirt. I carry it with the 01 prime in a pocket; in the little gadget bag I've got my old 24mm, 50mm and 75 mm Pentax 110 lenses; an adplo adapter I got on e-Bay for $38; and caps and such. Gotta swing by the post office on the way home; my new Wasabi batteries are in.

Really like the white; I'd definitely do it again.

Thanx. when I get it I may still get that. I was supposed to buy it today, but a) I discovered the sale site would charge me $40 shipping and handling plus $50 tax, and b) we discovered we'd run into a bit of money trouble which will greatly affect us tor many months to come. So I decided as I didn't need the camera, I was going to wait. ...almost had it!

As to your question: Not yet. Unfortunately, Q-K adapters are only available in black - a market niche?

m8o, hope things get straightened out soon. I thought I'd add a few thoughts for posterity.

We've had our white Q for about a month now, and it's spent a LOT of time in pockets... No discoloration on the white body yet, although the lens focus ring is marred on our 02 Zoom; because the knurled ring is metal, it's clear that the body has had potential for marring, but shrugged it off. The knurled mode dial has a similar mark as the zoom, although smaller. The body seems very tough, and fantastically well made.

I personally like the silver/black combo best, wish we got it here in the USA. But the white is a different and good choice.

It was a choice between a white Q for $300 or $500 for a black Q.
