Case for the Q

What case would you recommend for the Pentax Q that would hold both the 01 and 02 lenses? My wife recently got the Q double lens kit, and while she did get a case that will hold the Q and the prime (the Pentax genuine case was thrown in for free), we really don't have a way to travel with both lenses. Most of the standard camera stuff is way too big.

Lowepro has a number of pretty small choices - maybe something like an Edit 100/110?

I don't have the zoom lens so the standard case works for me. If you haven't checked out this thread, it covers a similar question:

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-q/180745-case-q.html

It mentions this one (which looks similar to the standard case) but I don't have any personal experience with it:

I'd love a small case that has tiny pockets for the lenses. Most cases are divided for SLR lenses, and are far too large. If anyone has a good solution, I'd also be interested...

I've given up on finding the perfect case for the Q, defeats the purpose... It's so light that I just wear it around my neck and throw an extra lens and battery in my short pockets when warm and my jacket pocket when cold. Seems to be the best carrying method for the Q, I feel like a fool pulling that little thing out of a camera bag. Get an aki-asahi skin instead of a bag and wear the Q like a fashion statement haha, therefore you'll always have it on hand to shoot...

I agree a major allure of the Q is its size, portability, and inconspicuousness, and I'd rarely use a case (in fact, I do rarely use my Q leather case).

One place I'd love a case for Q and lenses is when traveling. Tossing the lenses in my pocket while globetrotting isn't ideal. You can always de-case when you arrive...

No case here either... I carry mine in hand and store it in a neoprene pouch (Sony branded, it was meant for one of their small video handycams but fits the Q nicely)<<

I just use the HorusBennu leather halfcase that I got from ebay. It is super sexy on my Black Q and it hasn't been taken off of my Q since I got it. The red stitching on the black leather suits the black Q very well too.

This case just came in today. It's a good enough case for like 20 bucks but I really don't like the feel of it. It's very plastic and does not feel like leather at all. Either way if your aim is to keep it safe from dings this will do.

I have the black one and I think it was a good deal for $17 w/free shipping.

Try this:
optech 4901002 Accessory Pack

It's $16, and I think it fits perfect... I have the Q w/ handstrap (also an optech), optical viewfinder, the standard zoom, 05 toy lens, fisheye lens, and the standard prime. There's a couple more pockets for sd cards, extra batteries, filters, and a remote.

I was going to use it for my small prime case (someone either here or on dpr suggested it was a great case for their limiteds) but thought this may work as a great Q case....

It has provisions for a shoulder strap and it comes with a handle.

The Q is why they made cargo pants pockets. Case just gets in the way.
