pentax Q lens 1, not available anymore?

just checked on B&H, the 01 prime Q lens is not available for purchase separately, and not in kit with the new Q10. Opinions?

Also, dealers can't order original Q with just the #01 prime from Pentax at the moment. Only in two lens kit. Hmmm.

Was the Lens 1 ever available by itself? I thought it has always been sold only in a kit with the Q (and for that matter that the Q was not offered by itself without the 01 either).

@Docrwm, no, the lens 1 was never available by itself, only in a kit with the Pentax Q. However there is no Pentax Q10 + lens 1 kit, only Q10 and lens 2. Also recently Pentax started offering the Q with only lens 2. If you bought that, you could not buy the lens 1 separately afterwards.

Q bodies were available by themselves in countries besides the US. I think in the US Groupon might have ended up with all the 01/Q kits. Selling 900 in a week must drain the supply a little.

Will buy the Q10 02 kit since I never got the 02 for the Q. Then add 06.

It seems to me that now that there is a second body coming, you should be able to buy body only (at least with the Q10.) Otherwise, I would end up having two of the same lens (as I and others already have both the 01 & 02 lenses) and that doesn't make any sense.

For current Q owners, getting the Q10 body only is a good 2nd body alternative if you don't want to change lenses. I am aiming for 06 Lens 15-45 F2.8

It would make sense now, with 2 bodies, to offer the Q/Q10 the way that other interchangeable lens cameras are sold - Body only and various combinations with all lenses available for independent purchase. That is not how it has been in the US but perhaps things are moving that direction.
