As clearly stated above, this was pre-production firmware, and even the Pentax employees didn't know much about the new focal length input screen. During our tests with that early firmware, it made a huge, positive difference to use an equivalent focal length instead of actual for longer lenses. I've no idea what the final, released firmware for the Q is like, since I'm still waiting for my Q10 pre-order to be filled.
