JP it is believed that the current Q firmware could be the last (for this precise model, not Q10). It seems that it's Ricoh's way of doing things to publish one last major update before abandoning development for a device.
Let's hope there's still more to come. I think stability has improved (I now rate it "tolerable, just") but even with latest f/w I've still had to pull the battery a few times to unfreeze the camera. They had a good excuse this time to enable support for the new K => Q adapter.

AndrewG interesting, I thought I was the only one experiencing freezes.

However I did not experiment any new occurence since the new firmware.

And I am with you, hoping for more from Pentax...

Works well with the MS Sonnetar 25, also asks when connected and at start up for focal length plus SR is enabled...YAY

*now i can get "bokeh-licious" backgrounds.

Wow I have never had any of my Pentax cameras freeze including the Q but I only have about 500 shots on it, It would be interesting to see what options you have enabled.

The things that could cause additional processing, I have Distortion Correction ON, High-ISO NR ON Digital filters OFF, SR ON opt 1, Power Saving ON. I am running the latest FW for Camera and 01 Lens

I had a couple of freezes, but that was with the original delivery 1.0 f/w.
Since then I had nothing, except when the processing takes a little longer than usual
before the save light goes on which can look like freezing there for a while...
Thanks/Erik

Clicker, MS Sonnetar shot sure has nice bokeh. Bet SR and focus peaking make it a dream to use. Please post more.

Okay, I just installed the 1.1 firmware.... where exactly is the focus peaking in the menu? I don't see it anywhere, and I don't see a way to set it to the green button either.

Hi Charles,

It's under Focus settings, Tab1 of the Record Menu
