Any word on the 06 Lens release date?

Now that I have the Q and am enjoying it, I'm interested in when the 06 lens is due out. Any word on that yet?

I cant quantify an answer but since b&h is taking pre-orders and not just announcing "coming soon" I believe they have a good idea when they will start shipping. It sounded close enough for me to go ahead and order one. Where as the Pentax Q-to-K adapter is merely listed as "coming soon" and orders not accepted.

Just checked out the lens on B&H and it looks great! I may have to try and get one sometime in December to go along with my 01 and 03. A f2.8 telephoto sounds good to me.

Hope the have plans for an 07 and an 08 down the line as well!

Received word at B&M camera shop today (11-21-12) that 06 zoom will start shipping in the USA, in a few days. It should be here soon.
Want to see this one.

I pre-ordered over two weeks ago, the status was new order processing, I see this morning that the status changed to backordered. I don't know if that's the standard cycle at B&H, never pre-ordered before. On the surface it appears I didn't order soon enough for the first batch, maybe January it feels like

I hope I'm wrong.

well I pre-ordered 06 and Pentax Q2K today from my friendly camera shop in Perth ( Western Australia) hoping to get them before Christmas.

50% of Q 06 pre New Year deliveries to Australia were already pre-purchased !
