Extra OEM battery, 40.5 to 52mm step-up ring, and I wouldn't have bought the DA* 60-250 but for the Q. Tried but returned the Pentax leather case; still need to sort out a case and strap.

Manfrotto Mini-Tripod, 4 extra non-OEM batteries with charger, Tele-Wide inbound, JJC lens hood and squeeze caps, 03 Fish-Eye lens, and have a $2 Marumi filter inbound. Recycled an old bag that was too small for the K-x but works great with the Q and put a hand strap from an old P&S on that works just fine. Bought a non-OEM Q-K adapter back when I thought I was getting a Q from QVC but got a V20 instead that I never returned because of the costs involved.

I don't have one yet but you could probably add LCD Loupe as I think a few folks doing adapted telephoto shots are finding one helpful.

Specifically for the Q I bought a Tele-Wide VF, Pentax Red Dot sight, JJC hoods, adapter K both Fotodiox and waiting for OEM to arrive, 3rd party charger and batteries.

The other stuff I use with it I already had for my DSLR.

An LCD Loupe? Something that connects via the HDMI port?

This thread is telling me that I am about to get into yet another spending spree !

Apart from the optical viewfinder which I have yet to receive, and a small tripod .... nothing else at the moment.

I was actually amazed at all of the stuff people get for their Q !

Hard to think of all the stuff, but here goes.Lens adapters ( RJ) for Canon FD, EOS, P110, and Pk. Polish C mount adapter. Pentax oem Q>Pk adapter. Tele/wide viewfinder. Tasco and Pentax red dot laser finders with x-tenda site adapter.

Pentax leather ever ready case. Various handstraps off other cameras ( have so many P&S). Pentax leater strap that came with ER case( my fave).

40.5 filters from other cameras, Cokin filters, 40.5 to 37 adapter for lens baby accessories.

Pentax af540 flash, lenses, and other stuff I already had.
thanks

Yeah buckle up for the ride, so far for me it's 2 adapters, 42mm &K, hood loupe, home made strap, red dot on order, small pod, 2 batteries, mono-pod, thinking of building a gun stock for hand holding, also looking at new sharpening software.

Hans

Yes -- I'm a bit crazy about "stuff"

Stuff I bought after getting the Q:

40.5 to 49 and 52mm step up rings
Marumi +3 and +5 achromatic closeups (52mm)
02 zoom and 03 FE lenses
JJC OEM style hoods for the 01 and 02
Leica Brightline 50 OVF
Nikon Varifocal 35-135mm OVF
Camdapter Camstrap
Hejnar 1" Arca QR plate
JR K to Q and C to Q adapters (and a Bower K to C adapter)
Kipon P110 to Q adapter
3 Wasabi batteries and charger
Metz 24 AF1 and Metz 20 C-2 flash
Fotopro MGC 584N tripod and Vanguard ABH 120K ball head
Canon FD 300 f4 L converted to K mount -- I bought this lens to use with the Q in mind -- but it also works nicely with my DSLRs and the 1.7x AFA

Just ordered a couple of Aki-Asahi skins
Will get -- Pentax K to Q adapter and 06 zoom

Stuff that I already had that I will/might use with the Q:
Tasco Red Dot sight
NcStar Red Dot sight
Hoodman Hood Loupe 3.0
Chinese 2.8x hood loupe
Extend a Sight
various long (80mm+) Arca lens plates
over 20 K-mount lenses and 3 M42s + various tripod rings
P110 primes (18, 24, 50, 70mm)+ all the closeups for these lenses Pentax offered
Nikon 5T and Raynox DCR 250 achromatic closeups
2 Sunpak 20 FD digital slave flashes
Fotopro dual flash bracket
Metz 15 AF1 "ring" flash
Benbo Trekker 1 tripod

I also have a very neat and inexpensive (@ $20 IIRC) Bower 5x K-mount eyepiece that converts K-mount lenses into a 5x spotting scope -- I've yet to use it with the Q, but there are some situations where this might work for me -- with a tripod mounted lens, and a known distant subject -- let's say a hawk nest, I can use the eyepiece to watch the nest at close to the same magnification as the Q, and quickly swap the Q for the eyepiece if something interesting starts to happen -- better than killing a number of batteries just using the Q just for its screen. . .or if this proves to be useful, I could get a two camera rail and have the scope on one and the Q on the other, both sighted to the same point. If the subject is pretty stationary so there would be no need to adjust focus, I could actually use the scope as an optical VF and shoot in real time. . .OK, I'm going to have to look into this. . .

. . .and I'm in the beginning phase of making a DIY pop up flash mirror reflector w/ bounce card or softbox diffuser for the Q
and I also have the parts for making a lightweight macro focusing rail from a ruined bellows if I decide to go that route

I'm especially looking forward to seeing how the various achromatic closeups work with the 06 zoom and the proposed for the future tele macro prime as these lenses should have enough native magnification to make them work (which the 01 and 02 don't really have).
. . .and using the Pentax K to Q adapter with all of the macro stuff. Some exciting things to come IMO.

When I read about all the good stuff in the firmware update for the Q, I bought one on eBay with the 01 and 02 lenses. Since then I have added the JJC hood and caps, a little Manfrotto bag, a set of macro rails and two third-party K to Q adapters. I have also just acquired a used DA*300. That is primarily for use with the K5, but the the possibilities it opens up with the Q also played a role in the purchase.

Compared to Snostorm's list, I don't spend enough

A big box retail store had some of their camera gear on sale at half off. So, I picked up two of them gorilla pods. 1 with magnetic feet and the other designed for hybrid cameras. So now I got 4 damn tripods laying around. The magnetic feet are pretty strong, getting them square to the metal is the best bet. Both work well with the Q and native lenses, and they fix in a pocket nice. Have an extra charger coming that has no AC cord which is how the OEM one should be imho, the new one comes with a 12vdc car adapter also. But it's lower output than the OEM so it will take longer to charge. After my recent experiences with batteries, I also have two OEM batteries in route. Ordered a JJC cap for the for 01(nice), hood for the 02(in route still), and a pair of rear lens/body caps. Of course the Pentax Q2K adapter so the Q can inherit more stuff than a bag and larger tripods from my bigger kit. Nearly forgot (cause I likely won't see them this year), I have the Pentax vintage shoulder bag and the 06 lens on pre/back order.
